Oooooohhh... fancy stuff is in!

It's always exciting when we get a package for Coulee Carnage.  Today's was particularly interesting!  Thanks to Gemma Noon, the wonderful and lovely lady who runs the Chestermere Public Library and is responsible for the Black Library Expo coming up (http://www.chestermerepubliclibrary.com/blacklibraryexpo) we recieved a whole schwack of signed goodies!  Today we got:

From Dan Abnett:  Signed print covers for Thunder and Steel, Age of Darkness, Ravenor Returned, Prospero Burns, Titanicus, The Lost (DROOOOOL!), 2 copies of Malus Darkblade and an actual copy straight off the book of Brothers of the Snake!

Nicky Kyme was great enough to send signed print covers of Salamander, Firedrake, Nocture (all of his trilogy) and of the Fall of Damnos.

And that wasn't it!  We also recieved 4 tickets for the Black Library Expo to give away at Coulee Carnage.  Gemma also sent us audio book versions of Galaxy in Flames, Prospero Burns and A Thousand Sons.

Man oh man, there are going to be some happy nerds on June 23rd and 24th.

And please, check out the link and get tickets for the Black Library Expo.  It is going to be amazing and you can even meet us in person!

How are we raising money?

Well.. let us tell you!

Raffle:  Our biggest fundraising push has been the raffle we are holding in partnership with Worthy Painting.  100% of proceeds raised will be going to the MS Society.  As of this article we are at over 1200 dollars raised!

Entry Fees:  An undetermined portion of every registration fee will go towards the MS Society

Buy a Re-Roll:  We are allowing every player to buy re-rolls during their games.  It will be $1 per reroll.  A player can reroll once die, once per each players turn.   Potentially one game of fantasy raises 24 dollars and there will be 36 games in total!

Concession Stand:  ALL profits from the concession stand will go towards the MS Society

Silent Auctions:  We will have a number of silent auctions throughout the day with all money raised going to the MS Society.  Up for auction as it stands:  A Forgeworld Chaos Dragon, a bag from Battlefoam thanks to Ohiohammer, Chaos Dwarves from Showcase Comics, signed Black Library items and a whole bunch more!

Donations:  Players and visitors will be able to give straight cash donations if they like as well.   Though, really, you might as well enter the raffle and possibly get an army out of the deal!

So as you can see, we are looking at a wide range of ways to raise money for this great cause!  Hope to see you there!

Update! We got stuff to talk about!

We at Coulee Carnage hope everyone had a wonderful Easter Holiday... now back to work!

That includes us too.  Expect updates on the website including all our new sponsors!   You'll get more talk about our charity raffle with Worthy Painting, about all the goodies we have for swag and prize support, some talk about organizing the event, scenarios and more!  Plus any breaking news as it comes.

DO NOT FORGET our awesome raffle being held.  Worthy Painting (www.worthypainting.com) has been generous enough to donate an amazing painted 1000pt Blood Angel force.  Their staff, including Golden Daemon winner Alistair Armes, have put in some stunning work.  You can find them on youtube where they have some videos up of it.  Make sure to like them on youtube and on facebook as well!

Tickets are a steal!  You get your first ticket for $10.00 and every other ticket after that you get for only $1.00!  Twenty bucks gets you 11 tickets!  It's a crazy good deal.  Best of all?  ALL money raised (minus the inevitable paypal funds) will go to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada!   Why would you not want to donate AND have a chance at a fully painted, and great, army!   You can paypal us at couleecarnage@gmail.com

And someone tell Robin Williams.  He's a Warhammer player just like all of us!
